  • It is $300 for the security deposit.
Do I pay the rent by month or semester, do you accept Financial Aid Student Loan?  
  • The rent is paid by semester. Yes, we do accept Financial Aid Student’s Loan. We do ask students who will be using Financial Aid for their semester rent to provide us the proof of the Financial Aid documents as needed. For more information please contact our housing office.
Do I need to change any utilities or internet service into my name after moving into my apartment?  
  • No, all utilities and internet service (Wi-Fi ready) is included in your apartment.
Where is the apartment parking lot?  
  • The parking lot is located in front of our apartment building.
What should I bring with me to my apartment?  
  • Here are some suggestions below for our tenants:
  • Shower curtain
  • Window curtains and extension rod for the curtains, you can contact our housing office if you have questions on your window size.
  • Twin XL or Twin sized bed sheets, blankets, bedspread, sheets, and pillow, you can contact our housing office if you have questions on your bed size. Bed size depends on Studio or Suite apartment.
  • Kitchen supplies (pots, pans, etc.)
  • Microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee or tea maker, etc for your in room cooking needs
  • First aid kit
Am I allowed to rearrange the furniture in the apartment? 
  • Yes, you are allowed to rearrange the furniture space to your liking in your apartment.
How will the tenants get into their buildings and their rooms?  
  • The tenants will be given key cards that they can use to access their room and get into the building.
Are the floors Co-ed?  
  • Yes, the floors are co-ed. The apartment is first come first pick. You can pick any available apartment location on any floor that you think is best for you.
If a tenant wants to get cable, how much would that cost?  
  • There are different plans provided by Comcast with different prices. For more plans and pricing information, please check with Comcast.
What is located around Oakland Hall?  
  • Oakland Hall is in a good location. Not only is it a short walk from IUP’s campus, but it is also located near the campus’s Zink Hall, gym, and tennis court.
  • It is located near grocery stores, coffee shops, postal facilities and many restaurants. There are also town or campus bus stops located conveniently near the building.
